A while back I requested submissions for a deserving senior. Their story could be anything.  I just wanted to seek out someone beautiful on the inside and give them a free photo shoot. A part of something we started years ago called Smiles Needed.  What I got wasn't someone who needed a smile -I got some one who IS a smile:)  Here is the letter I received about Kiana.  

Hello, My name is Karen Deboer. I would like to nominate Kiana Bosman as a candidate in this Contest. 
The reason why I think Kiana deserves to smile is because she is constantly trying to bring smiles to other people. Children and especially kids in need. for the past 7 years Kiana has been volunteering at church every Sunday for two services at NCCTK, teaching 3,4,5 year olds along with leading a 3rd grade girls small group. for the past 3 years. When most teenagers are sleeping till 12 on Sundays, Kiana will have been up since 8:00 playing with 3 year olds. Doing all that's needed to be done with a smile. She has done all this as volunteer work receiving no pay, even though she's been eligible for pay for an entire year . Kiana also has a heart for missions, this May she spent two weeks living at an orphanage in Haiti taking care of the children and trying to share Gods love through a slight language barrier. Kiana has a love for people that is almost uncommon. On occasion you can find her babysitting for free, or taking the kids she babysits out on ice cream dates. Kiana is a GREAT girl, with a smile that lights up a room!
After reading reasoning up above Kiana Bosman as the winner of the "Smiles Needed" So she gets a chance to smile just like the people she's made smile. the people she's made smile.
